ELEMENTARY PROGRAMS – LEVELS 1 TO 8

Aurora Montessori and Private School Elementary Programs place emphasis on students learning to take responsibility for themselves, for others, and for the world around them. They foster autonomous, competent, adaptive citizens, who are life-long learners and problem solvers. The goals for the students in both AMS Elementary Programs are the same; the routes the students take to get there are slightly different. If the student is transferring to AMS from another school, a copy of the latest report card will be requested. New students may be admitted at any time during the school year, if space is available. A recent report card that indicates solid academic performance and ability is necessary. An interview with the principal is conducted and an entrance test for levels 3 to 8 is required.
AMS offers two elementary programs for levels 1 to 4: A Montessori Elementary Program and an Enhanced Ministry of Education Program. Students from both the Enhanced Ministry and the Montessori path come together for the senior elementary grades 5 and 6. In full preparation for High School, students will benefit from the AMS richly developed Middle School Program
The AMS advantage ensures our graduates leave AMS prepared for their future roles as responsible citizens in the community and in the world.
