Enrollment Procedure - New AMS Students

FOR ALL AMS PROGRAMS:
New students may be admitted at any time during the school year, on the basis that space is available in the program. Before your child's enrollment at AMS is confirmed, all cheques must be received (including deposits, as well as post-dated cheques for tuition and extra admissions for before and/or after school programs).

TODDLER PROGRAM - STUDENTS 18 MONTHS TO 3 YEARS OLD
Prospective Toddler Program students and parents must meet with the Director of Admissions prior to acceptance. Students enrolled in the Toddler Program do not need to be toilet trained. A naptime is provided in the afternoon.

CASA PROGRAM -STUDENTS 2 ½ TO 6 YEARS OLD
Prospective Casa Program students and parents must meet with the Director of Admissions prior to acceptance. Casa students must be toilet trained. Application to AMS must be made prior to the child’s fourth birthday.

AMS Montessori Elementary Program - Grades 1 to 8
The ideal applicant—to the Elementary Program—has attended a Casa program for at least three years.

In special circumstances, consideration will be given to a student who has completed less time in a recognized Casa program. Admission to this program will be evaluated based on consultation with the parent and the student.

RE-ENROLMENT PROCEDURE
Some AMS programs have a waiting list. Unfortunately, we are unable to hold a classroom spot for returning students unless the following is received prior to the deadline date for re-enrolment:

• All paperwork (as listed on the front page of the AMS Enrolment Application Form).
• All cheques (including deposit, as well as post-dated cheques for tuition and Before and/or After School Programs.
