About AMS: Principal's Message
Every so often in my readings I come across a quote that, with an almost inexplicable ease, conveys that which is otherwise impossible to express. This year I have chosen a quote from William Wordsworth’s The Prelude:
“What one is, why may not millions be? What bars are thrown by Nature in the way of such hope?”
At AMS, there are no bars; we sincerely believe in all of our students and consciously help them overcome their obstacles, and so they may walk freely towards a bright and prosperous future. Our belief is one that we invest in with our time, expertise, facilities and care. As parents, we believe in our children, not because it is expected of us, but rather we know that beliefs are contagious, and once ‘caught’ by a child, in the form of motivation and confidence, nothing is unattainable for them.
The information we are able to provide via this media is just a snapshot of the warm, nurturing and stimulating environment your children experience at Aurora Montessori School (AMS). Seeing as the majority of our teachers and staff are also parents, we invite any parent, regardless of interest in enrolment, to contact us regarding questions they may have about the Montessori method and how it may be incorporated at home to benefit his / her child.
Parents wishing to visit the school are encouraged to contact us in advance for an appointment, as our child safety initiatives specifically forbid public access to the building during school hours. Once a meeting is arranged, visitors are given a guided tour of the school’s classrooms and common spaces, alongside any information they desire about our teaching methods, tuition fees and policies. We would be delighted to provide you with a glimpse into the self-motivated, disciplined and nurturing environment that is AMS.
We look forward to meeting your family and working together to ensure your child reaches her or his potential.
