Sharon Kashani, founded Aurora Montessori School in 1989 in a tiny farmhouse in Aurora , Ontario. By 1998 her tiny school house was bursting at the seams wiith over 100 students benefitting from the unique, enriched quality of education Mrs. Kashani offered.
In 1998 her husband, Mahmoud Kashani, who believed in his wife's vision of creating a perfect learning environment for children, invested in a beautiful 14 acre property at the corner of St. John's Sideroad and Indusrial Parkway in Aurora. Following Sharon's dream, Mahmoud turned the rolling property into a manicured children's educational village, complete with amphitheatre, farm animals, gardens, and a 35,000 sq. ft. school, offering classes for children from 18 months to 14 years old.
Sharon Kashani passed away in 2004, however her passion for education and her spirit lives on thanks to Mahmoud Kashani's continued support of Aurora Montessori and Private School and his belief in his wife's vision.
